Background

An environmental organization, in collaboration with an international partner, is implementing a project focused on climate adaptation planning. This assignment involves upgrading the organization's website to serve as a comprehensive knowledge portal and communication hub for climate adaptation information.

Objective

Design and develop a user-friendly, engaging web platform within the organization's existing website to showcase climate adaptation strategies and disseminate related information clearly and effectively.

• Thoroughly review the existing website, identifying gaps and areas for improvement related to adaptation information.
• Collaborate with the organization's IT expert and communications team to understand user needs, content requirements, and workflow preferences.
• Design wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes to present options for implementation.
• Develop front-end user interface components (templates, stylesheets, scripts, images) that integrate seamlessly with the existing website.
• Integrate components into the current Kentico Content Management System (CMS) for testing and feedback.
• Create clear guidelines for content management, website usage, and maintenance.
• Provide technical support for launching the upgraded website.

• Master's degree in IT, Communication for Development, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of proven experience in developing user-friendly web platforms, websites, and webpages.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AngularJS.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver, Kentico Content Management System.
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English (proficiency in Urdu or other local languages is a plus).

Additional Desired Skills

• Content creation and management experience related to environment, climate change, and adaptation.
• Understanding of user experience (UX) principles.
• Knowledge of stakeholder engagement and online collaboration tools.
